1. Overview
Eagle Recovery is an Android utility app for data recovery, local backup, screenshot management, storage cleanup, and image enhancement. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, why the app accesses it, how the data is used, when data may be shared, and how you can control permissions.
Most recovery, backup, cleanup, and preview operations are designed to run on your device. Eagle Recovery does not sell your personal data, contacts, media files, cleanup scan results, backup records, or enhanced images.
2. Prominent Disclosure and Consent Inside the App
Before Eagle Recovery starts any feature that requires access to personal or sensitive user data, the app should show a clear in-app disclosure screen during the normal feature flow. This disclosure must be visible before the Android permission request and must not be hidden only in Settings, this Privacy Policy, or Terms of Use.
The in-app disclosure should explain the data type and purpose in clear language, for example: "Eagle Recovery will access and process your photos, videos, audio files, documents, screenshots, contacts, Installed Application information, file metadata, storage paths, file sizes, and modification times to support recovery, backup, cleanup, screenshot management, and image enhancement features."
For Installed Application information specifically, the app uses the list of installed applications, app names, and package identifiers to support app backup and restore, identify the installed app list on your device, and help you find apps that may have been uninstalled. This data is processed locally on your device.
The app should request an explicit affirmative action before accessing the data, such as tapping an "Accept and Continue" button or selecting a consent checkbox. Closing the page, tapping outside the disclosure, pressing Back, pressing Home, or waiting for a timer must not be treated as consent. The app should request Android permissions only after you have confirmed the disclosure.
3. Data We Access With Your Permission
Depending on the feature you choose and the Android permissions you grant, Eagle Recovery may access the following data:
- Photos and videos, to scan and display recoverable media and to help you restore selected items.
- Audio files, documents, and other files, to scan accessible storage and show recoverable or cleanable items.
- Screenshots, to identify, organize, preview, and delete screenshots that you choose to manage.
- Contacts, to create local contact backups and compare backup records with current contacts when you use contact restore features.
- Installed Application information, including the list of installed applications, app names, and package identifiers, to create a local app backup, identify installed apps on your device, support app restore, and help you find apps that may have been uninstalled.
- File metadata, including file names, storage paths, file sizes, media type, and modification times, to display scan results and help you decide what to recover, delete, clean, or keep.
- Image enhancement input images and generated preview cache files, to create enhanced previews and save enhanced copies only when you choose to save them.
- Basic device and app operation information, such as Android version, app version, permission state, and error information, when needed to keep features working or troubleshoot issues.
4. How We Use Data
Eagle Recovery uses accessed data only for the feature you intentionally start. The main uses are:
- Recovery features: scan accessible media and files, display recoverable items, preview selected content, and restore selected items where Android allows it.
- Backup and restore features: create local contact backups and local Installed Application backups, identify the current installed app list, compare current data with backup records, help you recover missing contacts, and help you locate apps that may have been uninstalled.
- Screenshot management: identify screenshots, show them in the app, and delete only the screenshots you select and confirm.
- Storage cleanup: scan accessible folders for old downloads, app leftovers, cache packages, archives, large files, and other cleanable items, then clean only the items you select and confirm.
- Image enhancement: process the image you choose, create an enhanced preview cache, and save an enhanced image only when you tap the save action.
- Support and troubleshooting: respond to your requests and diagnose app issues if you contact us and voluntarily provide relevant details.
5. Local Processing and Storage
Eagle Recovery is designed to process most scanning results, preview data, backups, and cleanup results locally on your device. Contact backup records, installed app backup records, scan results, and image enhancement preview caches may be stored in the app's local storage.
Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, overwrite it, clear app data, uninstall the app, use Android storage controls, or intentionally share content through an external action. Files or screenshots that you choose to delete or clean may be permanently removed from accessible storage.
6. Sharing and Transmission
Eagle Recovery does not sell your personal data. Eagle Recovery does not upload your contacts, media files, screenshots, backup records, cleanup scan results, or enhanced images to our servers for advertising or sale.
Data may leave your device only in limited situations that you intentionally start or that are required by the platform:
- System and platform actions: the app may open Android permission screens, system file pickers, share sheets, app store pages, rating pages, or app package pages.
- Image enhancement services: if a device or platform enhancement service is used, the selected image or necessary processing data may be handled by that device or platform service according to its own rules.
- Support requests: if you email us or send feedback, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
- Legal or safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.
7. Permissions
The app may request permissions only when needed for a selected feature. Media and file permissions support recovery, screenshot management, image selection, and cleanup. Contacts permission supports contact backup and restore. Installed Application information is used for app backup and restore, identifying the installed application list, and helping you find apps that may have been uninstalled. Installed Application information is processed locally on your device. Notification or storage-related permissions may be requested only when required by your Android version or selected feature.
You can deny permissions. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work or may show limited results. You can revoke permissions at any time in Android system settings.
8. User Choices and Control
You control which feature to start, which permission to grant, which files or records to select, and whether to restore, delete, clean, back up, enhance, save, or share content. The app should not treat silence, page dismissal, pressing Back, pressing Home, or a timed message as consent.
You can delete local app data through Android settings, uninstall the app, remove generated files from device storage, or contact us with privacy questions. Some files that you intentionally delete or clean may not be recoverable.
9. Data Retention
Local backup records and preview caches remain on your device until they are overwritten, deleted, cleared through app or system storage controls, or removed when the app is uninstalled. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain appropriate records.
10. Security
We use Android platform storage, permission controls, and user confirmation flows to limit access to local data. No app or storage method can guarantee absolute security. You should keep your device locked, avoid granting unnecessary permissions, review selected items carefully, and maintain separate backups for important data.
11. Children's Privacy
Eagle Recovery is not intended for children under the age required by local law to use digital services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
12. Third-Party and Platform Services
Your device, Android operating system, app store provider, email provider, share target, rating page, permission screen, or platform image enhancement service may process information according to its own terms and privacy policy. Please review those policies when using external actions or platform services.
13. International Use
If you use Eagle Recovery outside your home country or contact us by email, information you provide may be processed in locations where we or service providers operate. We handle such information according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The updated version will show a new "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how the app accesses or uses sensitive data, the app should provide an updated disclosure and request consent where required.
